Worked alongside JWB Associates' President Jennifer Breitinger in advocating on-behalf of a wide-variety trade associations, non-profits, and corporations including Project 515, Lyft Inc., The Minnesota Film and TV Board, Boston Scientific, the Consumer Health Products Association (CHPA), Educators 4 Excellence, and the Printing Industry Midwest.
Articulately reported to clients the status of the Minnesota legislative process, developed strategic materials to inform and influence elected officials, developed relationships with legislators and staff, successfully passed legislation, and led business development efforts.
Lobbyist, MN's for a Recycling Refund 2010
Co-created recycling refund campaign in MN. MRRA was a self-generated project during graduate school with a friend that secured nearly $1M in donations. Responsibilities included representing MRRA in the media, including in front of editorial boards across the state, managing a coalition of supporters, leading lobbying efforts and political strategy, drafting bill language, and designing and overseeing a website, blog, and social media strategy.

These two years can be summed up as a comprehensive immersion in healthcare policy and the Minnesota legislative process. Worked on behalf of the two firms’ healthcare-related clients including the Minnesota Comprehensive Health Association (MCHA), PrairieCare Hospitals & Clinics, MN Association of Community Mental Health Programs, America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) and the Marijuana Policy Project. Monitored committees and media, assisted in lobbying efforts, met everyone, and made copies.

LifeScience Alley (now the Medical Alley Association), is a trade association representing hundreds of biomedical and medical device companies based in Minnesota. Created lobbying materials for the Angel Investor Tax Credit which passed into law the following session.
